Creme brûlée has always evoked for me a feeling of luxury and decadence, mainly because restaurants are able to charge an exorbitant amount of money for this dish, but I never realized how simple and quick it was to make at home on my own!
So what is creme brûlée?
Creme brulee is basically a baked custard that’s usually served chilled, with a hardened, caramelized sugar coating on top. It’s really only made up of 3 main ingredients: eggs, heavy cream, and sugar, and the different ratios used can be adjusted to match one’s taste.
Since there are only 3 ingredients involved in making it, it’s incredibly easy to infuse your own custom flavors into this crowd-pleasing dish. Whether you want to steep teas into the heavy cream, mix in some fruit purees, or enjoy plain with some good vanilla extract, there really isn’t a limit!
I went ahead and steeped some jasmine green tea into my creme brûlée base, and then topped it off with some brown sugar boba!
But what is jasmine green tea?
Jasmine green tea is flavored or scented tea, much like earl grey! Most jasmine teas are made by mixing green tea leaves with jasmine flowers so that they absorb its fragrant scent and floral flavor. The floral, fragrant aroma of the jasmine flowers paired with the light, earthy flavors of the green tea really made for a uniquely flavored creme brûlée.
The chewy boba pearls added another level of texture to the already crunchy brûléed top and smooth, custardy filling. It essentially became a cup of jasmine milk green tea in custard form! Creme brûlée is the perfect vehicle to carry any of your favorite flavors and I’m definitely going to experiment around with some others down the line!

Green tea is a beverage like no other. It’s more environmentally friendly than coffee, has just enough caffeine for gentle stimulation, and even offers tea drinkers calming effects thanks to the natural amino acid L-theanine.
Most varieties of bagged green tea you find in the grocery store will not yield high-quality tea. The small bags constrict the tea leaves during steeping, and they usually contain lower-quality, machine-processed tea leaves.
Green tea has only recently caught the attention of Indian consumers who were till now pretty happy with their cup of milk tea. Thanks to the multiple benefits that Green Tea provides this market is growing at a decent pace leading to more and more players entering the market.

Howdy! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good gains. If you know of any please share. Kudos!
